Hi there and happy Wednesday. I’m so excited to be here with you today as part of the Altenew new Release. You should have arrived here from the awesome Jennifer McGuire, but if not don’t worry there is a hop list at the bottom of my post. Or you could even start at the beginning at the Altenew Card Blog.
Today we are releasing new stamps, dies and new ink colours! So lots of amazing NEW products to be having fun with! I have had soooo much fun with these new products!!
So firstly let’s take a look at the new products:
I have four cards to share with you today. The first two using the beautiful Sewn With Love Stamp Set, but I have used the heart image to create some fun Valentine’s Cards:
For this first card I went a little dotty (excuse the pun) with the large heart die in the Sewn With Love Die Set. I cut this a number of times all over my card panel to create a fun hole punch background. The hearts were very easy to get straight as I just lined the faint border it left around the heart image.
To create a focal point I stamped one of the pin pricked hearts with the coordinating heart stamp using Ruby Red ink. I also used the same ink to ink up a small piece of cardstock, I then cut the small heart dies from New Day Card Kit from it. I added a little Wink Of Stella to the hearts and some Glossy Accents and left them to dry.
I stamped one of the sentiments from the same set onto a strip of black cardstock using embossing ink and heat set using white embossing powder. I added this into place using foam tape and added the tiny hearts once they were dry.
My second card has a little rainbow included:
I have to say these hearts are soooooo easy to line up! I started by stamping my first heart off the side of the panel using Ruby Red ink, I then flipped the heart upside down to stamp the next using Orange Cream. I repeated this process using Warm Sunshine, Parrot, Lagoon, Deep Iris and Pinkalicious until I had worked my way across the card panel.
Again I stamped a sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock using embossing ink and heat setting with white embossing powder. I added this across the rainbow hearts using foam tape. I just love the fun contrast this gives!
Next up I have another fun rainbow card using the awesome Crafty Life Stamp Set:
I started by creating a watercolor rainbow border on a strip of watercolour cardstock. I did this using watercolor markers adding a stripe of colour and then blending this out with water. I love the arty feel of this and it works so well with the fun sentiments in this set.
Once this piece was dry I adhered it to my card base and drew a black border down it using Jet Black Artist Marker, I just love the contrast it gives.
To finish I added one of the large sentiments from the set… I have to say this is one of my favourites from the set, I really like the boldness.
My last card is also the softest of the four and uses the beautiful Wings Of Hope set:
I started by stamping one of the large sentiments from the set into place on my card base. I did this so I could work around it and not worry later on where I was going to put it.
I then repeatedly stamped the small flower image and a leaf cluster all over the top of the card base leaving the part of the card under the sentiment free. I used Dew Drops ink for the flower and Minty Mint for the leaves.
