Hello there everyone and a very happy Monday to you!
I’m so happy and excited to be taking part in the Stamp Of Approval Love Is In The Air Collection, welcome to Day 3! You should have arrived here from the beginning at Catherine Poolers Blog.
If you are unsure of what SOA is it’s an awesome box of crafty goodness! It’s a handpicked collection of stamps and dies that work amazingly together so you don’t have to worry about having everything as it has it all. The box has within it exclusive product that won’t be released until a lot later in the year and maybe even 2019. So if you like the look of the goodies this is the only way to get them in your crafty little hands right now.
Ok, so on to how you can get your hands on this fabulous collection… you need to get yourself on the wait list. The Stamp Of Approval boxes are only of a limited number, and by the looks of the wist list and the way previous boxes have sold out so quickly, these will not be around for long! StampNation members that are on the Wait List will be notified first (a little perk of being a member!), the rest of the Wait List will get the sales link one hour later, then ordering opens for everyone the following day. Click here to get on the Wait List.
I have two projects to share with the collection today:
To start I stamped the world image stamps from The World Awaits Stamp Set in embossing ink and heat set with embossing powder onto some watercolour cardstock. I then covered this piece with clean, clear water when this was wet I then dropped in ink to act as watercolour. I love how the wet cardstock let’s the ink travel and blend. For this rainbow look I used Rockin Red, Orange Twist, Tiara, Lime Rickey, Aquatini, Flirty Fuchsia and a little added surprise ….
While the watercolour panel was drying I created the border strip by stamping a sentiment from one of the sets in the collection on a piece of black cardstock with embossing ink, I then heat set this using white embossing powder. I have to say that this is still one of my favourite ways to add a sentiment to a card. I just love the crisp look of the white on the black.
I also added two borders onto the card base using the thin diagonal stripe border stamp from Happiness Enclosed Stamp Set. I think that this gives an added something extra to the card.
My second project has a little more rainbow:
I started by stamping the little dotted square from Happiness Enclosed Stamp Set in the same inks that I used for my first project and then stamped the little paper plane on top of these – I even stamped some of these in mirror image to get a more interesting effect. Once all of these were stamped I fussy cut them out.
For my card layer I cut clouds using Love Is In The Air Dies at the top of a piece of 4″ x 5 1/4″ white cardstock. To add a some more dimension I added a few of these clouds over the top of the die cut ones- fun huh?!?! I then added the rainbow planes into place and stamped the sentiment before adding this layer to my card base.
One winner will be chosen at random from each day’s comments and announced on JANUARY 10th on Catherine’s blog. The winners will win their box and if they already bought it, they will be issued a Gift Certificate worth $100 towards a future purchase.
