A Stamp Set Close To My Heart

Hi there everyone and a very happy Wednesday!

I’m so glad you have joined me today as I have some exciting news! I have a stamp set being revealed today 🙂 The lovely Catherine Pooler asked me to create a set and so today is the day I get to share it with you lovely people. I do hope you like it! It will be released tomorrow over at Catherine Pooler Designs.

If you know me you know that I’m a floral gal through and through…. so you can kind of guess that it’s a floral set. This 4×6″ stamp set was inspired by my little girl- she loves pretty dresses and these build-your-own flowers were inspired by many ditsy print dresses she wears. As the set was inspired by her how could I not name it after her- I originally wanted to call it Matilda’s Magic Garden, as that’s her name but she wanted her nick name so that’s how we have the name ‘Tilly’s Magic Garden’.

So let’s see it in action- I have one card to share today and more for the rest of the week 😉

To start I took the Hello Die and placed it into position on a card layer and drew around it in a light pencil line. I did this so I had an idea on where to stamp my images, and then when the images were stamped I could rub this out.

I stamped the rose and bud images in first using It’s A Girl and Party Dress inks. Once these were in place I then stamped in the foliage using Mint To Be and Garden Party inks. To fill in some of the gaps and lighten the feel I stamped the little cluster of dots in Tiara ink.

Once I was happy with the stamping I die cut the Hello Die using the pencil guide-lines for reference and then erased the lines as they were no longer needed. I cut the Hello Die a further 4 times and stacked these die cuts together and adhered the stamped one on top.

To finish I added the card layer to a card blank and then added the ‘hello’ die-cut back into place.

Thank you so much for stopping by today I really do hope you enjoyed your visit!

Lydia…it’s a beautiful stamp set. Your little girl must be so proud of her mommy. To have a stamp set named after her must be a very proud moment for you. I’d frame it and hang in her room. I will get this set for myself. I just love how sweet and dainty it is.

So very pretty. Did you do the “Hello” as well, because I love that too. Pretty font. Tilly’s Magic Garden seems like the perfect name to me.
