Counting Blessings Stamp Of Approval Blog Hop- Day 3

Hello there everyone and a very happy Tuesday to you!

I’m so happy and excited to be taking part in the Stamp Of Approval The Counting Blessings Collection, welcome to Day 3! You should have arrived here from the lovely Taheerah, or you can start at the beginning at Catherine Poolers Blog.

So as the collection is called Counting Blessings, we were wondering what inspires you? For me my biggest blessing is my family. I’m also blessed I get to work in the crafting industry. I’m very lucky to have my hobby become my job.

If you are unsure of what SOA is it’s an awesome box of crafty goodness! It’s a handpicked collection of stamps and dies that work amazingly together so you don’t have to worry about having everything as it has it all. The box has within it exclusive product that won’t be released until 2018. So if you like the look of the goodies this is the only way to get them now.

Ok, so on to how you can get your hands on this fabulous collection… you need to get yourself on the wait list. The Stamp Of Approval boxes are only of a limited number, and by the looks of the wist list and the way previous boxes have sold out so quickly, these will not be around for long! StampNation members that are on the Wait List will be notified first (a little perk of being a member!), the rest of the Wait List will get the sales link one hour later, then ordering opens for everyone the following day. Click here to get on the Wait List.

I have 3 projects to share with you today and it’s kind of a two for one…

So I’m really loving this! Just because the box has an autumn theme it doesn’t mean that you have to use it for autumn projects. I used emboss resist as I mask for this card.

I started by stamping the leaves from Blooming Bouquet Stamp Set at the bottom in Garden Party and Lime Ricky and then heat embossed the images with clear embossing powder. This meant that when I stamped over these the embossing powder would resist this ink, so it is working as a mask. I then stamped the cluster of small flowers over the leaves in Tiara and Orange, wiped the excess ink that pooled over the embossed leaves and then clear heat embossed the yellow flowers. I then stamped the large flower using Party Dress and Rocking Red, wiped away excess ink and then clear heat embossed these. I worked my way up from the bottom of the card so that it looks like the images further up the card are further away.

Once I had finished all the stamping and clear embossing I added All That Jazz Ink with a blending tool to add colour behind the images, the clear embossing on all of the images resisted this ink too….. I really love how this looks!

To finish I die cut the Thankful Die out of the image (save this), and added a white die cut of the same word in it’s place.

My second card uses the ‘thankful’ die cut from the first card as a focal point…

To start I took the Geo Trio Stencil and inked through the dots with Midnight ink. I did it once moved it over, inked through it again, moved it over again and inked through it again. It only took three inkings to cover the whole card.

I then attached the ‘thankful’ die cut from the first card onto a black strip of card and added a little more sentiment from Autumn Blessings and heat embossed this onto the black strip to complete the sentiment.

To finish I added the black strip onto a strip of vellum before adhering to the inked card blank.
