Altenew New Day Card Kit Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi there and happy Friday. I’m so excited to be here with you today as part of the Altenew New Day Card Kit. You should have arrived here from the awesome Kimberly, but if not don’t worry there is a hop list at the bottom of my post. Or you could even start at the beginning at the Altenew Card Blog.

So on this hop today we are featuring the New Day Card Kit. There are going to be soooo many cool ideas and I can’t wait to get hopping myself!

So onto my card…

I started by using Floral Garden Stamp Set (which is included in the kit), to stamp an all over background. I double and triple stamped the images using different colours and dabbing some off the stamp with a sponge to get a gradient effect.

Once I had all of the images stamped I then took a fine-line pen and doodled around the images to create simple flower and leaf images. I stamped one of the flower centres in black to each of the doodled flowers. For a more arty look I then flicked black ink over the card.

To finish I added a sentiment using Bold Alphabet Die Set. I love how the bold black sentiment compares to the arty background.

And what’s a blog hop without prizes?!?! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to THREE lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog by Thursday, August 17th at 11:59pm EDT for a chance to win. The winners will be announced on the Altenew Card Blog on Saturday, August 19th. Also, also, also leave a comment on this post for a chance of winning a $30 gift certificate for the Altenew online store!
