Stamp Of Approval- The Naturally Inspired Collection Blog Hop Day 3- Video

Hello there everyone and a very happy Tuesday to you!

I’m so happy and excited to be taking part in the Stamp Of Approval The Naturally Inspired Collection, welcome to Day 3! You should have arrived here from the lovely Laurel, or you can start at the beginning at Catherine Poolers Blog.

So as the collection is called Naturally Inspired, we were wondering what inspires you? For me in life in general it’s my family. In crafting that’s a different kettle of fish, I’m inspired by lots of different things, mostly it;s buy the stamp sets I’m using. Sometimes when the mojo goes I tend to look for ideas on Pinterest and Instagram.

If you are unsure of what SOA is it’s an awesome box of crafty goodness! It’s a handpicked collection of stamps and dies that work amazingly together so you don’t have to worry about having everything as it has it all. The box has within it exclusive product that won’t be released until much later in 2017. So if you like the look of the goodies this is the only way to get them now.

Ok, so on to how you can get your hands on this fabulous collection… you need to get yourself on the wait list. The Stamp Of Approval boxes are only of a limited number, and by the looks of the wist list and the way previous boxes have sold out so quickly, these will not be around for long! StampNation members that are on the Wait List will be notified first (a little perk of being a member!), the rest of the Wait List will get the sales link one hour later, then ordering opens for everyone the following day. Click here to get on the Wait List.

I have 3 projects to share with you today … and one even includes a video (I know right, it’s been a while 😉 )…

I used a watercolour tracing technique on this card to give the effect that I painted this myself. I used the stamps from Wild Garden Stamp Set and 2nd generation CP Inks to stamp, traced the image with water and then dropped in colour.

For a full description on how I created this please check out the video below or on YouTube.

I just love how soft and subtle the images come out with this effect. The CP Inks I used are Garden Party, Bellini, Tiara, Lime Rickey, Fiesta Blue, Pixie Dust, Flirty Fuchsia and It’s A Girl.

I couple of clear sequins finish off this clean looking card.

My next card uses the same supplies and technique for colouring the images as with the card in the video…

This time I started by drawing a light pencil lined circle into place onto some watercolour card. I then used the same technique of stamping the images in 2nd generation ink, tracing over them with clear clean water and then dropping in more ink to the wet images to create a watercolour look.

Once the images had dried I erased the pencil line and stamped in my sentiment using Simply The Best Stamp Set in bold black ink. A few clear sequins finished the card.

For my third and final card today and went for a completely different look…

I look a piece of watercolour card and inked it up to create a galaxy sky effect. I used Tiara, Pixie Dust, Flirty Fuchsia, Something Borrowed and Midnight CP inks with finger daubers to get this effect. I then dropped on water to create the splotches, I do love the interest this adds.

For the sentiment I cut five best’s using the Best Die out of white card stock. I took one of the die cuts and triple embossed white embossing powder on it to create a shiny raised white surface. To add a bit of sparkle to it I sprinkled some of the Wanderlust embossing powder onto it while the white embossing powder was still hot. I then layered all of the best die cuts together, adding the triple embossed one on top.

I added the rest of the sentiment using Simply The Best Stamp Set in white embossing powder. Finally I added some white and Wanderlust embossed stars from Medallion Mix Up Stamp Set around the sentiment.
