Altenew Stencils & Ink Sprays Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi there and happy Thursday. I’m so excited to be here with you today as part of the Altenew March Release. You should have arrived here from the awesome Yoonsun, but if not don’t worry there is a hop list at the bottom of my post.

Today we are releasing 7 stencils, 12 ink sprays, 13 coloured cardstock and 7 envelopes on Thursday, March 9th, at 9:00 am EST. So lots of amazing NEW products to be having fun with! I have had soooo much fun with these new products and have 3 different cards to share with you:

First up I used the gorgeous Floral Drape stencil. I have to say that this is probably one of my favourite stencils in this release it’s just soooo beautiful! I added the stencil to my card and inked through it. For the pink flowers I used Cotton Candy, Coral Berry and Ruby Red Crisp Inks, the yellow flower uses Mango Smoothie and Orange Cream Crisp Inks and for the leaves I used Ocean Waves, Olive and Moss Crisp Ink. I do like the addition the blue leaf tips adds.

Once I had finished adding the ink through the stencil I removed it and sketched in some lines around the images with a black pen. It was so quick and a fun way to stretch your stencils.

I wanted a simple yet bold sentiment so I used a mix of dies and stamps to create it (Hello Die and Persian Motifs Stamp Set).

My second card it much more subtle:

For this I used the new sprays as ink! I created my own ink pad with a baby wipe and the sprays (for more detail on how to do this please join me on the Altenew Facebook Page for a Facebook Live later 4pm EST, 9pm GMT) and then used this to ink up the feather image from Happy Dreams Stamp Set. I used 3 of the sprays Forest Glades, Ocean Waves and Lavender Fields.

I love that you can use these pretty metallic sprays in different ways to stretch your crafty stash! I also think that this has now become one of my favourite colour combos.

To finish I added a simple sentiment panel using Beautiful Quotes matted onto some black cardstock.

My third card is different again:

How could I not create a rainbow when I had all of the colours right there in front of me?!?!?! I used 6 of the new sprays but as they mixed with each other it looks like I have used way more than that! I will also be showing how I did this later in my Facebook Live on the Altenew Facebook Page 4pm EST, 9pm GMT.

For the sentiment I used a mix of stamps from Splash Of Color and Calligraphy Alpha. As I’m a Brit I wanted ‘color’ spelt the British way so I snipped out the ‘color’ on the original sentiment and replaced it with one I created using the alphabet stamp set.
