Catherine Pooler’s Foundation Box Blog Hop

Hi there everyone and a very happy Monday to you all!

I have a super exciting way to start the week off today! I’m so happy and excited to be taking part in the Foundations Box Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from the lovely Taheerah if not you can start at the beginning, at the amazing Catherine Pooler’s Blog. Don’t worry if you are a little lost as I have the blog hop list further down list post.

If you are unsure of what the ‘Foundations Box’ is, it’s an awesome box of crafty goodness! It’s a handpicked collection of stamps, ink, card and stamping block that work amazingly together so you don’t have to worry about having everything as it has it all. The box has within it exclusive product that won’t be released until 2017. So if you like the look of the goodies this is the only way to get them now.

The Foundations Box includes 3 stamp sets, 5 ink pads, a clear block and a pack of CP Designs Cardstock! The box will sell for $67 and includes everything a brand new stamper needs to sit down and make a card right away. No other supplies necessary! The products in this box are also staple products for EVERY stampers’ craft room.

I have 4…. that’s right 4 projects to share with you today! 3 of which just use goodies from the box and 1 has some added black cotton and foam pads .. that’s it.

I only used ‘Amazing Floral’ on this one layer card. I started by stamping the sentiment in ‘Midnight CP ink’, I stamped it off centre to add a little interest. To create the two layer rose, I firstly added the rose stamp to my block back-to-front so then inked up the backside of the stamp in ‘Rockin’ Red’, stamped this into place, flipped the stamp over so that it’s how it’s supposed to be used and then inked this up in the same red ink and stamped this over the red ‘base’ image. I then stamped some flowers and leaves around this to create a cluster, I used second generation stamping to create the look of different colour inks.

To start I added a strip of masking tape around the card (you could use washi tape if you have it). I then stamped floral images above and below the masking tape. The roses were done in the same way as the card before, the pink is second generation ‘Rockin Red’. I used first and second generation ‘Grass Skirt’ and also second generation ‘Fiesta Blue’ for the leaves. The centres of the pink flowers and the small flowers are second generation ‘Orange Twist’.

Once I had finished the floral stamping I removed the masking tape, to define the edges I took the stripes from ‘Happy Everything’ in ‘Midnight’ and added the sentiment in the same ink using ‘Stop On’.

This card uses mostly images from ‘Happy Everything’ with a couple of cute little florals from ‘Amazing Floral’. I just love the font on that sentiment…. swoon!

This card is the one with a little added dimension. I stamped lots of the dots and patterned spots from ‘Spot On’ using first and second generation stamping of all of the ink colours and some black stars thrown in for luck. I stamped the red circle sentiment onto some card and then trimmed around in before adding to the  card blank with some black thread behind it.
