SOA Candy Cane Lane Collection Blog Hop

Hi there everyone and a very happy Monday to you all!
I have a super exciting way to start the week off today! I’m so happy and excited to be taking part in the Stamp Of Approval Candy Cane Lane Collection! You should have arrived here from the beginning, the lovely Catherine Pooler.

If you are unsure of what SOA is it’s an awesome box of crafty goodness! It’s a handpicked collection of stamps and dies that work amazingly together so you don’t have to worry about having everything as it has it all. The box has within it exclusive product that won’t be released until much later in 2016 or even 2017. So if you like the look of the goodies this is the only way to get them now.

Ok, so on to how you can get your hands on this fabulous collection… you need to get yourself on the wait list. The Stamp Of Approval boxes are only of a limited number, and by the looks of the wist list and the way previous boxes have sold out so quickly, these will not be around for long! StampNation members that are on the Wait List will be notified first (a little perk of being a member!), the rest of the Wait List will get the sales link one hour later, then ordering opens for everyone the following day. Click here to get on the Wait List.

I have two projects to share with you…. I just can’t say how much I love the stamps and dies in this collection!

Ok… so I kinda used a bit of something from all the sets in the box! As I said everything works so well together that it’s super easy to mix and match elements from the different stamp and die sets to create a card that even though has a lot on it still looks clean.

I just love the Peppermint Stick Background peeking out from the edge to create a fun border. I made the wreath using elements from Merry And Bright Boughs and Candy Cane Lane stamp sets. The stags head is from Hip Holiday and I cut this out using the coordinating die set. I popped this onto the smaller of the labels in Merry Labels dies and used part of the sentiment from Candy Cane Lane.

My second project uses the large label from Merry Labels Dies to make a statement of the sentiment…

I cut the label from white card and then drew around it onto my card base so I could then use this as a guide to stamp a wreath around it. I used fern, twigs and berries from Merry And Bright Boughs, and the small holly leaf from Candy Cane Lane to create the Christmas-y wreath border around the label guide line.

I stamped and heat embossed in gold the sentiment from Merry And Bright Boughs onto the large die cut label before adding it into place with foam tape.
