No-Line Colouring Background

Hi there everyone and happy Sunday! I hope your having a nice relaxing weekend.

Today I’m sharing a card using some beautiful Casual Fridays Stamps to create a background for a one layer card.

Casual Fridays Mon Ami_1

To start I added a strip of masking tape to the bottom of my card blank sothis partwill be clear from any stamping or colouring. I then took the two flower and two leaf images from Mon Ami and added these onto four stamping blocks. I find it makes stamping quicker when all of the stamps for a background like this are ready to go.

I used Blush Crisp Ink for the flowers and Frayed Leaf for the leaves. I stamped all of the images randomly all over the un-masked area of the card blank until it was completely covered. Once the background stamping was complete I then coloured the images with Copic markers- R00 for the base colour of the flowers and R20 for depth, G82 for the leaves and colourless blender in the centre to add highlights.

Once I had coloured the images with Copics I added some detail and shading to the images with some Polychromos pencils and then removed the masking tape.

To finish I added a sentiment from the same set using a bold black ink and then added a few black lines with a fine-line pen and a ruler to draw the eye into it.

Thank you so much for stopping by today I really do hope you enjoyed your visit!
