Deep Pink & Gold

Hi there and a very happy Tuesday to you! I’m popping in before I head t bed to share with you a card I made for the challenge over at Altenew, I used the deep pink and gold from the photos as my inspiration.

To start I stamped and heat embossed in gold some of the flowers from Altenew ‘Golden Garden’, I stamped them so they were very concentrated at the top of the card and more dispersed further down.

Once all the gold embossing was done I propped my piece of card up and then added deep pink watercolour to the top, adding more water as I went down the card to create an ombre effect, I also like how the watercolour moved down the card and sometimes got trapped in the embossing, making the colour deeper on the bottom edges of the flowers.

To finish I added some gold thread behind the sentiment (Altenew ‘Magnolias For Her’) and some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins.

I would really love to know what you think of my card! Please leave me a comment, maybe even subscribe to my YouTube channel or follow my blog :) If your interested I’m also onFacebook and I share sneak peeks of my projects (and my life) on Instagram.

I hope you have a beautiful day and I will see you again soon.
