Inky Techniques

Watercoloured Blooms

Hello and happy Monday! Hope it has been kind to you as it has for me, I got to have a little play with watercolour today 🙂

I’ll be adding this to the Altenew challenge, I took my inspiration from the orange flowers on the card on the table ….. and then I may have got a bit carried away and started adding pink ……

For those beautiful blooms I have used Altenew ‘Watercolour Wonders’ and Distress Ink. I stamped the first layer of the flowers and then mixed in another ink colour with a waterbrush while it was still wet. I waited for these layers to dry before stamping the second layer and then adding a different colour of ink to this while it was still wet. I waited until this was dry before doing the same for the third layer. I used a mix of Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries and Spiced Marmalade for the flowers.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts and I stamped this onto some vellum before adding to the card. A couple of Pretty Pink Posh ‘Sparkling Clear’ sequins finished this card to a ‘t’.

I would really love to know what you think of my card! Please leave me a comment, maybe even subscribe to my YouTube channel or follow my blog :) If your interested I’m also onFacebook and I share sneak peeks of my projects (and my life) on Instagram.

I hope you have a beautiful day and I will see you again soon.
