Colour Palette Challenge At Make The Day Special Stamp Store

Hi there! Hope you are well ?

Today I’m sharing with you my take on the challenge over at Make The Day Special Stamp Store. This month we have a choice of three different colour combos to choose from…

I was drawn to the centre palette, although I will admit that the pink looked a little pinker and less purple when viewed on my mobile phone 😉

I am so in love with these flowers from the Altenew ‘Magnolias For Her’ set, I know its one of the older sets but as spring is on it’s way I thought it would be a great time to get this set out and start creating. I first stamped the flower and heat set with white embossing powder, I then created a mask of the same flower with a sticky note and then placed it on top of the heat embossed one. Once the mask was in place I then stamped the buds and leaves around the flower in VersaMark, removed the mask and then heat embossed the recently stamped foliage in white. After the flower arrangement was done I then coloured it with watercolour.

For the sentiment I used a die and sentiment stamp set from Lil Inkers, ‘Seriously Word Die’ and ‘The Fine Print Stamps’.

I added a strip of black and white stripe paper to the left side of my card blank and a strip of gold foil on top of this for a bit of shine before adding my watercolour card panel.

I would really love to know what you think of my card! Please leave me a comment, maybe even subscribe to my YouTube channel or follow my blog :) If your interested I’m also on Facebook and I share sneak peeks of my projects (and my life) on Instagram.

I hope you have a beautiful day and I will see you again soon.

Hugs Lydia xxx
