Hello, happy Thursday and welcome to Day 2 of the Newton’s Nook January Release! You should have arrived here from Taheerah’s blog but if not don’t worry you can start at the beginning at Newton’s Nook Designs blog or there is a hop list at the bottom of the post 🙂
Today we are showcasing the super cute set ‘Newton Dreams Of Paris’,
Just how cute is this set?!?!? As soon as I saw it a had an idea for that balloon…..
A floating balloon! I stamped the balloon onto acetate and then paper pieced it. This means that the strings will be the only real thing visible on the acetate image. I then added a strip of acetate to the top of the balloon.
For the background I masked of a strip to the left hand side edge and using pink ink, a blending tool and a cloud mask created a faint pink cloudy sky. I then stamped on the sentiment ink black. Before adding my card layer to my card blank with foam tape I attached the other end of the acetate strip that is stuck to the balloon to the top of the card layer so the balloon will hang in front of the card as if it is floating.
Would you like to win “Newton Dreams Of Paris”?
This set will be given away to TWO lucky winners!
Here’s how to win:
