Hello, happy Wednesday and welcome to Day 1 of the Newton’s Nook January Release! You should have arrived here from Taheerah’s blog but if not don’t worry you can start at the beginning at Newton’s Nook Designs blog or there is a hop list at the bottom of the post 🙂
Today we are showcasing the super cute set ‘Wild About Zoo’,
If you are a follower of my blog you will know that I love to take the smaller images from a set and make them the star of the show. So I have taken the 3 animal print hearts to create a watercolour background ……
Firstly I stamped the hearts all over a piece of watercolour card and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I then taped this down and added water all over the piece so that it was very wet. Using Distress Ink in Festive Berries and Picked Raspberry I added colour to the wet piece of card , adding more colour to the left side edge and just tiny touches of colour to the right side so it would blend out to white.
I cut a doily shape out of white cardstock before stamping on my sentiment and a couple of small hearts from the same set.
Would you like to win “Wild About Zoo”?
This set will be given away to TWO lucky winners!
Here’s how to win:
Comment on the NND blog and Design Team and Guest blogs (see list below)! Two winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs release posts. Make sure to check out each of their blogs and comment for your chance to win. You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning! You have until Thursday, January 15th at 9pm CDT to comment — winners will be announced on the blog post on Friday, January 16th.
