Thinking Of Spring

DSC03667

Now that we are past Christmas my mind kinda believes that spring should be kicking in…. looking out of my window I can see that this is not the case and winter still has it’s grip on the North Wales countryside šŸ™ But even though it’s not spring out there I can still have a piece of spring in here!

If you are a follower of my blog you will know that I’m a sucker for floral stamps… this gal cannot get enough polymer blooms šŸ˜‰ So today I have whipped up a little spring for you on a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card.

I just adore these florals from Altenew ‘Painted Flowers‘, I love how sketchy they are and that if you don’t get them positioned exactly right they still look gorgeous! Oh and what’s more these guys are currently in the MtDS sale … so grab them quick before they go!

I stamped the solid images using Hero Arts Shadow Ink- Mint Julep and Tide Pool for the flowers and Field Greens and Green Hills for the leaves. The doodle leaves and buds with no cosponsoring solid images I coloured roughly with Copics.

The sentiment is from Mama Elephant ‘Everyday Greetings’, I stamped this in black ink and then over stamped in VersaMark and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder to get a raised shiny black effect. As it is heat embossed it will then resist the Heidi Swapp ‘Gold Shine’ that I sprinkled over.

I would really love to know what you think of my card! Please leave me a comment, maybe even subscribe to my YouTube channel or follow my blog :) If your interested Iā€™m also on Facebook and I share sneak peeks of my projects (and my life) on Instagram.

I hope you have a beautiful day and I will see you again soon.

Hugs Lydia xxx
