Hi there, I have a post over on the Craft Stamper blog today! Can you believe … December already?!?!? I certainly can’t, it seems the days are going by quicker and quicker the closer we get to Christmas.
In the December issue of CS! I did a step-by-step on how to add hand stitching to your cards by using a sentiment stamp as a guide….. I have been playing around with this idea and thought it would be fun to do the same but this time using a die cut sentiment.
I cut the sentiment from metal and stitched over it with red thread , the same way I did in the article. I so love that everything on this card is flat but because of all the different textures and layers it looks so dimensional – so great for postage 😉
So onto the kraft layer (that I used Mama Elephant ‘Femme Frames’ to cut as well as the white scalloped layer) I stamped some stars using Lawn Fawn ‘Starry Backdrop’ and my new favourite ink Delicata ‘Golden Glitz’. Next I have added a white die cut stag using one of the Wplus9 ‘Stag Trio’ dies, I haven’t glued this down as the stitching will attach it to the card.
On to the sentiment- I have die cut the sentiment using Lil Inkers ‘Jolly Die’ out of some Scarlett Red Add A Little Dazzle Craft Metal. I have then stitched through the die cut sentiment using some red floss. As you will know if you follow my blog I love to mix sentiments so I have added ‘and bright’ from Mama Elephants ‘Jolly And Merry’ and heat set it in white.
I would really love to know what you think of my card! Please leave me a comment, maybe even subscribe to my YouTube channel or follow my blog If your interested I’m also on Facebook and I share sneak peeks of my projects (and my life) on Instagram.
Hope you have a beautiful day and I hope to see you again soon!
