stamped butterfly background card

for this card i used very very little – white card stock, brown kraft paper, ink (claret), two stamps (butterfly and birthday ticket), deckle edge sissors, pva and a tiny bit of 3d foam.

i cut the plain card stock to the size of card i wanted and used the ink to go round the edge so the card was no longer white. i then stamped the prima butterfly stamp all over the kraft paper using the same ink and ripped and teared around the edge for a distressed look – i even rolled the edges of this layer with a cocktail stick to get some texture. i made a paper flower with the kraft and inked the edges of the petals with the ink and cut out rough leaves out of the same paper. i stamped the ticket with the ink onto the kraft paper and embossed it with clear embossing powder and attached it the the card using 3d tape .

im entering this card into the creative card challenge- if you’d like to have a go too go to
